This means that most days it doesn't even feel like I live in Hawaii, because my whole world is wrapped up in work.
And then sometimes I go to the beach on my break, or when I'm off of work and I think, "Great Scott. I live here!" But then I get sad again, because I don't get to relish in the moment with any one. But then I get happy again because I go home and do laundry in my very own cute apartment, and watch Gilmore Girls. And then I get a little bit sad again, because I realize that back home it's late, and I can't call any one.
But after I play the Pollyanna Glad Game, I usually feel better.
Here's some other things that make me happy.
This song is my jam lately.
Empire of the Sun is quickly becoming a new favorite.
A few of my favorite things in Hawaii
Hula Dog
The random sprinkles of rain
ABC stores
Pineapple paraphernalia
How expensive all the sweets are- I'm less likely to buy them....you see?
Waking up with the sun
The flowers
Hawaiian shave ice
And then there's ...
This package from my BFF
This showed up last night and I cried.
I've been feeling forgotten since I moved here.
It's nice to know that Holly has been thinking of me enough to put a package together.
(Don't be fooled by the baby food and the ceramic fish... there are some GREAT gifts in there.
That robot for instance.....made me cry again)
I do declare! I love Holly J Tomlinson!
Over all, I'm happy. But shoot me some texts every once in a while, peeps! (And to those who do, I thank you!)
